Come for the xBox, stay for the books

Yesterday’s Boston Globe includes the article, Come for the Xbox, stay for the books all about how libraries are serving teens in ways that expand and extend traditional forms of library service. The author of the article, YA novelist Lauren Mechling interviewed teen librarians across the country to find out what programs and services they offer in order to serve teens in the early 21st century. The article is a great look at what’s up in library services for teens and a great example of how libraries are moving beyond the traditional in order to meet the needs of today’s teens.
