I hope there are still some folks out there planning to come to New Orleans and see all the work done to accommodate the onslaught of librarians. How better to support ALA and New Orleans than with our support of the conference? There are still hotel rooms available and flights, too. So, come and join us in the Big Easy.

I read today in the latest copy of The Week that the aquarium in New Orleans re-opened recently. I’ve been there several times, and I recommend it. It’s also a nice thing to do on a steamy hot day, since it’s air conditioned and not far from the convention center.

If you are attending the Michael L. Printz Reception on Monday night, we could use some extra hands to stuff bags! Stop by between 6:30 and 7 and look for me, stuff a few bags, then have an opportunity for advanced seating!

    See you then!
