fly on the wall by e. lockhart fly on the wall is a three part story about Gretchen Yee’s sudden insight into the actions of boys. How? She’s turned into a fly on the boy’s locker room, of course. :3

And who uses the guys’ locker room? Why her crush, OF COURSE. And those other guys. The jocks/stoners. And some more guys. Like the gay ones. Well. She gets more than she bargained for, but it all comes together.

This wacky book is an interesting take on how girls wish they could understand why guys do those strange things that they just do, and this book definitely accomplishes with some flair. It also unearths some typical teenage angst by the looming divorce of her parents as well as her best friend’s happiness being put on hold.

This has a slightly different tone than the boyfriend list and the boy book, and it’s a welcome change because of its quick read (I read it in about three hours, but it just sucks you in! You can’t stop! Well…you can but it hurts.)

fly on the wall: 7/10

I’ve also heard about The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau Banks…soo I’ll be sure to go and find it (someday after AP tests. =/ Wah.)

Definitely check out “The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau Banks.” I read it in one sitting, it was that compelling. It’s such a powerful, feminist without being in your face, kind of book. Loved it!
