Did you feel a certain sense of renewal, energy and possibility this morning when you turned the page from January to February?’  Perhaps it is just the spark that comes from the lengthening of sunlight hours, but maybe on some deep level you just know it is time to consider running for an elected YALSA office or position! ‘ Yes, I am talking about the 2011 slate of candidates that this year’s nominating committee is now putting together!

The 2011 Nominating Committee is eager to hear from YALSA members who want to enhance their leadership skills, broaden their network of friends and colleagues, and have lots of fun while working to create better library service for teens by serving YALSA.

For the 2011 slate we are looking for the following:

2 Candidates for President-Elect (elect 1)
4 Candidates for Board of Directors (elect 2)
2 Candidates for Fiscal Officer (elect 1)
2 Candidates for Secretary (elect 1)
8 Candidates for 2013 Printz Committee (elect 4)
6 Candidates for 3013 Margaret Edwards Committee ‘ (elect 3)
8 Candidates for 2013 Non-Fiction Award Committee (elect 4)
