Do you have a long commute and are always looking for something to listen to on your way to and from work?
Is there a family vacation coming up and you need something that everyone can listen to?
Do you listen to audiobooks while doing work around the house?
Do you simply like listening to audiobooks and are looking for some really good ones?
If you answered “yes” to any of the above questions, then the basket of CDs, donated by the 2011 Odyssey Award Committee is something you’ll certainly want to bid on at YALSA’s Not So Silent Auction.
Actually, there are two audio baskets you’ll be able to bid on. Since the Odyssey Committee is a joint YALSA/ALSA Committee, there will be both a teen basket and a children’s basket on auction at Midwinter.
And, that not all. The Odyssey Committee is sweetening the deal by including headphones and Primo Chocolates in the baskets. That’s pretty good.
The Not So Silent Auction will take place on Friday, January 7, from 8 to 10 PM. (Bidding will take place from 8 to 9:15.) You can read more about the auction and all that will be up for bid on the YALSA wiki.
