There was a chapel and a smoking room in the airport at Dulles. It made me think, why not a library at an airport and what would it look like? It could serve as a destination for information about not only the airport but the surrounding city. I shouldn’t have to say it-but of course free wifi. What about a collection of podcasts from travelers-what are their stories, where are they going and why? Print out newspapers from a kiosk from all over the country (Starbucks is already doing this at the airport). Stock it with zines and independently created music, advertise programs that are happening at local libraries. What a better place than an airport to be a destination.
